The term "special admissions" applies to students who are currently enrolled in grades K-12. These students may enroll in IVC courses on a space available basis. As required by state law, K-12 students will receive a later priority registration time to not displace regularly admitted students.
Getting Started
Apply for admission online (unless you are currently enrolled):
- Summer & Fall Applications accepted beginning February 1.
- Spring Applications accepted beginning August 1
Within approximately 1 business day, you will receive an email with your IVC Student ID number and instructions to activate your IVC email account and set your password.
If you have not received an IVC confirmation email within 24-hours after submitting your CCC application, please visit the IVC CCC Application Search webpage for more information.
New Student Preparation

On MySite, click the “Profile” icon in the top right of the page. Your IVC Email Address is listed here. 
- Your default email password is your pin number plus two zeros at the end. Example: If your pin number is 1234, your password will be 123400. For security purposes, it is highly recommended that you change your password. You can do this by clicking the “Change Pin/Password” link

- If you are participating in the CCAP Program, please speak to your high school counselor regarding available CCAP courses.

- If you plan to enroll in a course that requires a prerequisite, you must demonstrate satisfactory completion of the prerequisite or take the appropriate assessment.

Choosing Your Dual Enrollment Program
We strongly recommend you meet with your school counselor to discuss which program will be the right fit for you.
- Education Code places strict enrollment restrictions. Students may enroll for a maximum of 11 units and limits enrollment in physical education courses. Consequently, IVC currently prohibits enrollment in physical education activity courses.
- IVC assumes no responsibility for the supervision of minor students outside of the classroom setting. Parents are responsible for ensuring that their children are appropriately supervised before class, after class, and if or when a class is canceled or dismissed early.
- Attendance is required, but not monitored as it is in secondary school systems. IVC will not call a parent or guardian if a student is absent, nor will we verify attendance. Students are expected to meet all deadlines, classes must be dropped within the deadlines, grade options etc. It is the student's responsibility to know these deadlines. Deadlines are indicated in the class schedule.
