Students in a classroom

Irvine Valley College (IVC) is proud to announce a historic milestone in its four decades of serving Irvine and the surrounding community. As of September 9, IVC's fall census enrollment headcount has reached a record 15,848 students, the highest number since the college's founding in 1985.

This figure represents the total number of unduplicated students currently enrolled in courses at the college. The achievement reflects IVC’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality education and meeting the needs of its growing student population.

“This fall, we are excited to welcome our largest student body yet,” said IVC President Dr. John Hernandez. “Our record-breaking enrollment reflects the college’s post-pandemic reengagement efforts, flexible instructional offerings that include in-person, online and hybrid modalities, and overall growth in the IVC Promise program (two-years of free tuition), Adult English as a Second Language (AESL), and international student enrollment.” He added, “IVC is committed to building on our legacy of excellence while addressing the evolving needs of our diverse student community.”
