Heart Scholar

HEARTS (Helping to Ensure Achievement and Resources for Transitional Students) supports students who have experienced or are currently experiencing food and/or housing insecurity while they are a student at IVC. 

What You Will Get Through HEARTS

As a HEARTs participant, you will have access to resources to support you for life at and away from IVC.

Access to fresh food, clothing and personal care closet


Counseling

One-on-one academic, personal, and career counseling

Based on financial need and requirements

To Be Eligible to Become a HEARTS Scholars

You must:

  • Be currently enrolled at IVC
  • Have experienced food and/or housing difficulties

If this is you, contact Student Equity and Achievement Counselor, Heather Johnson to begin receiving services. You can also contact the Office of Student Equity for more information.
