Spring 2025
We are currently hosting elections for 16 positions for the 2025-2026 Academic Year!
Leads ASIVC in college shared governance; presides over ASIVC Senate; attends monthly district board meetings and provides ASIVC report; serves as the student speaker for the annual commencement ceremony; and serves as a link to California community college student organizations.
Assists president with shared governance; coordinates shared governance representation of student leaders on college and district committees and task force groups.
Lead committee meetings which serve to connect clubs, official IVC organizations, and ASIVC members alike. Facilitate academic opportunities for minorities and marginalized groups.
Publicizes ASIVC events; coordinates and serves as production team leader for all ASIVC-sponsored publications such as flyers, posters, brochures, newsletters, and/or magazines.
Provides leadership in matters related to ASIVC finances and budgets. Presents budget to SOCCCD Board of Trustees and ASIVC during the academic year.
ASIVC liaison regarding local, regional, and state legislative issues.
ASIVC liaison to campus clubs.
Primary voting body for ASIVC; represents student concerns to the Academic Senate; works in the development and implementation of major ASIVC-sponsored programs and events throughout the academic year.
All voting officers are required to regularly attend weekly legislative meetings. Other commitments and requirements include participating in college and district shared governance meetings as well as ASIVC committee meetings as articulated in the ASIVC by-laws.

To be an eligible candidate, you must:
Mandatory Candidate Orientation
All candidates must attend one mandatory Candidate Orientation meeting to remain eligible. The scheduled candidate orientation meetings are below:
Deadline to apply is Monday, February 3 at 11:59 pm.

Voting will be held ONLINE from Monday, February 24, at midnight, and ends Friday, February 28, at 11:59 pm. IVC students will receive a link to an online ballot through their IVC email account on file. Be sure to check your IVC email to vote!
