Placement in a Math course is one of the steps of the matriculation process. Irvine Valley College determines placement in Math in one of the following ways:
- High school course work using an official or unofficial transcript for students that graduated from a high school in the United States.
- Successful completion (final earned grade of A, B, C or Pass/Credit) of an appropriate Math course at an accredited college or university.
- Successful Completion of AP Exams in (Calculus AB/BC, and/or Statistics) with scores of three or higher.
Students need to provide the appropriate documentation or submit the necessary forms to make sure they get the most accurate Math placement.
